I tried google and found some similar shotguns around 1500-2k, but I didn't find the one I currently own. I inherited my grandfather's Victor Sarasqueta sxs 12ga and I know nothing about this shotgun. Ok, first let me say that i'm very ignorant when it comes to double barrel shotguns so excuse any obvious mistakes that I may make. However the first 2 digits of serial number. I have identified the markings and what they represent. I purchased a Victor Sarasqueta shotgun imported by Stoeger. ![]() Sarakesta shotgun companies in the Eibar region of Spain. Fortunately Arrieta, Grula, Arrizabalaga, Garbi and Ugartechea didn't join Diarm and they survive today.There were other numbers I thought to be serial numbers. Unfortunately the factory was built 15 miles from the gun making centre of Eibar and Diarm failed, the 22 makers dissapeared when Diarms doors closed in 1988 Sarasqueta weren't part of Diarm, (although the name had been bought by a maker who was) AyA were but they managed to start production in a small way in the late 80's. It was the demise of Victor Sarasqueta that prompted many of the remaining gunsmiths to join together and build a government funded state of the art factory with a capacity to make 49000 guns a year. I understand that VS went into a sort of gunmaking consortium like British Leyland and it all went down the pan like BL/Rover did. My 6EC has an articulating front trigger which My AyA 25's don't have which shows the quality of the gun. I did have a look online at the different models that they made and there were some really quality guns there. Thanks for the clarification on this one. ![]()
